Kreator - Hate Uber Alles

Kreator – Hate Über Alles Review

Kreator add a blend of NWoBHM and melodeath to their formula. The later was already present in Gods of Violence (2017), and while it arguably works injecting freshness to the classic act, feels like thrash predominant pieces such as the title track still work best. Those are reminiscent of the Extreme Aggression (1989) or Coma of Souls (1990) era but with milder riffs.

The remaining songs add nothing special and contribute little to today’s metal panorama. Gods of Violence (2017) was a far better offering even if, to some point, some tracks here will satisfy old school thrashers. Production-wise it sounds clear (well, not sure about the echo effect in the vocals) and musically no one can deny Mille and co. are a well-oiled machine after almost 40 years of existence. Special mention goes to the frontman’s vocal performance and the lead work of Sami Yli-Sirniö.
