Power metal doesn’t get much better than this.
Eldorado (2023) is the central chapter in the Vera Cruz (2021) trilogy, being the previous record one of the most surprising power metal records in the latest years together with Dimhav‘s The Boreal Flame (2019) and Helloween‘s comeback (2021).
Musically this still continues Angra‘s arguably best era -The one led by Falaschi of course-, with a similar production and this time adding more prog, Latin American influences and even songs in Spanish. The performance is impeccable, with every musician shining and impressive performance by Roberto Barros -dare we say he’s at Loureiro level?-, Aquiles Priester’s fills and complementary key leads by Fábio Laguna. Falaschi himself needs no words: He can still be counted as one of the best PM singers ever.
